The School a challenging, child-centered learning environment in which students are taught and then growth is documented. The atmosphere fosters mutual respect and a sense of social and moral responsibility and an awareness about the ethical, cultural and environmental duties. It also nurtures the students for sound decision making, creativity and critical thinking, the activities undertaken by the student in their academics tenure enhances the skills of communication, collaboration and problem solving.     Idea flowed: By Ismaili Local Council Gulmit on Jan,14,1991

    Establishment of Educational Committee Led by Rai Ghulam Uddin in April 1991

    Announcement in community on July 11, 1991

  • September 1991

    Initiation of school in a rented house in Sep. 1991

  • October 14th, 1991

    Established mother institution: The Gulmit Educational and Social welfare Society: Oct. 14, 1991

  • 1994

    Land acquisition in 1994 by land committee (contributed by all villagers)

  • 1995

    Construction of phase-I in 1995 supported by Aga Khan Health Services, Pakistan and Aga Khan Health Board

  • March 1997

    Upgraded to Middle School: March 1997

  • February 1998

    Shifted to own school building in Feb. 1998

  • April 23, 1998

    Registration with Directorate Education: April 23, 1998

  • March 2001

    Started Secondary School Certificate (SSC) classes: March 2001
